Barrett “Bear” Price
Masters in Counseling & Bachelors Degree in Family and Child Development
Barret “Bear” Price is a husband and father of 4 who enjoys sports, gardening, and animals. He graduated in 2018 with a Masters in Counseling from Quincy University in Illinois and have been working in the Kansas City area as an Academic Advisor and Student Support professional ever since. He also have a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Development from Southern Virginia University and take an interest in community outreach and volunteer opportunities working with elementary-age children in after-school enrichment programs. He grew up between the SF Bay Area in California and the Low Country in South Carolina and have lived in various other locations, including Virginia, Alaska, Utah, New Zealand, Illinois, and now Kansas. These experiences have exposed me to a wide range of people and cultures, and He is comfortable working with any population.
Karin Mitchell
Masters in Counseling Psychology & Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Interpersonal & Public Communications
Karin Mitchell, MA, ACC, NBC-HWC is a Life Coach, Counselor, Meditation Teacher, and Speaker. She holds graduate degrees in both Counseling Psychology and Health and Wellness Coaching. Ultimately, as a coach, she helps people get clear on what they want for their life and how to get it. Karin also works as a school counselor in a private school providing counseling services and teaching character education and mindfulness classes for over 13 years. Karin lives in Annapolis, Maryland with her husband, two miniature schnauzers Anna and Elsa, and cat Maisie. She has two daughters, who are both in college. She has been a close witness to the real struggles that college can present for students and feels she can help people in this area to become more organized, connected to their goals, and understand how to solve any problem moving forward in their lives. Coaching is about helping a person know themselves better; their strengths, values, and motivations, so that they can successfully handle the challenges in college and beyond.
Rebekah Richard
Masters in Communications & Bachelors of Science in Communications
Rebekah Richard graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Communications and a Masters in Communications from East Carolina University. She resides in Southern Maryland with her husband and two children. In addition to her mom’s responsibilities, she is an online adjunct instructor and volunteers within her community. She has extensive experience teaching communications courses at Wayne Community College. Rebekah and her family enjoy exploring their area via hiking, biking, and sightseeing. Her favorite explorations always include local coffee shops. She is passionate about seeing undergrads and graduate students succeed.
Steve Mitchell
Masters in Counseling and Industrial/Organizational Psychology & Bachelors of Psychology and Business
Steve has a background in Counseling and Business. He holds an M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and a B.S. in Psychology and Business. He entered the counseling profession to help struggling teens and worked in the field for five years post-graduate school. After experiencing mild burn-out in the field, he switched to real estate, specializing in helping first-time buyers realize their dream of homeownership. He also found a creative outlet in home building and renovating fixer-uppers. Now, in the second half of his life, Steve wishes to give back by guiding and helping as many people as possible. He has two daughters in college himself and sees the real struggles that college life can present through them and their friends. Through his wife Karin’s coaching work, he has witnessed the benefits of good coaching towards helping people become unstuck, getting to know themselves better, and setting and seeing through their goals. Steve resides in Annapolis, Maryland, with his wife Karin, two dogs, and one cat. He enjoys boating, hiking, and skiing and seeks to find joy in everyday life.
